EMILY MOWBRAY

Emily is a dedicated and experienced music teacher specialising in voice and piano, with a passion for nurturing musical talent across all ages and abilities. She holds a Master's degree in Vocal Studies from the prestigious Royal Northern College of Music, and a BA in Music from the University of York, where she developed a strong foundation in both performance and academic music.

With a warm, encouraging teaching style, Emily works with students of all ages and abilities, from young beginners to advanced performers. She believes in the power of music to spark joy, creativity, and confidence from a very young age. Through playful, engaging, and age-appropriate activities, she introduces foundational musical skills in a way that feels natural and fun. She is committed to helping each student discover their unique musical voice while developing strong technical skills and a lifelong love of music.

Alongside her teaching, Emily has performed across the UK and internationally, gaining valuable experience in stagecraft and live performance. This practical knowledge informs her teaching, allowing her to help students not only build strong technical skills but also develop confidence, presence, and expressive freedom on stage. Emily can sometimes be found performing in Cayman, especially for the annual Jasmine Palliative & Hospice Care 'voices' fundraiser.
