  • If we have to cancel a lesson, what happens?
We have a make-up policy. Please see our Terms and Conditions for more details.
  • What age groups do you teach?
We offer lessons for students of all ages, from young beginners (as early as 4) to adult learners. Whether you're just starting or looking to advance your skills, we have something for you.
  • Do you offer performance opportunities?
Yes! We host regular student recitals throughout the year, allowing students to showcase their progress and perform in front of an audience. These recitals are meant to be relaxed and informal, offering an opportunity for students to get used to performing. Other performance opportunities also arise throughout the year.
  • How often are lessons held and how long are they?
Lessons are typically held once a week. We offer 30, 45 or 60 minute lessons, while group classes vary dependent on the class and age of the students.
  • Do I need to own my own instrument?
It’s recommended that students have their own instrument to practice at home. However, we appreciate if a student is just starting out, this isn't always possible. We do have some instruments available for use during lessons (depending on which instrument it is). We also provide instrument rental and can help with instrument purchasing as well. If a student continues on their instrument for longer than a term we always recommend them having their own instrument.
  • How do group classes differ from private lessons?
In group classes, students learn alongside their peers, which fosters collaboration and ensemble playing. Private lessons, on the other hand, offer one-on-one instruction, tailored specifically to the student’s learning pace and goals. Both formats have their unique benefits. We are more than happy to have a chat about the different options we offer or if you have any questions that require a more detailed answer then please contact us on info@jukebox.ky.
  • If I can't make a class, what happens?
If you are unable to attend a class, sadly we cannot offer a refund. If there is availability in another class you may attend another one, otherwise you can also send a little friend in your place.
  • What if my child is shy or doesn't want to participate?
It's perfectly normal for children to observe before joining in. Each child participates at their own pace, and we create a supportive environment to encourage engagement over time. We often find that the little ones who observed more than participated at the start usually join in the most when they feel comfortable in doing so as they know just what to do!
  • Do I need to bring anything?
There is nothing specific you need to bring, however we are seated on the floor so please wear clothing that you are comfortable in to do so. You also might like to consider bringing the following: * Swaddle or blanket to lay on the floor for younger babies who are not yet mobile. * Water bottle (for you and your little one if they are drinking water). * Feel free to bring anything comforting for your little one such as a pacifier/dummy or chew toy.
  • Do I need to participate in the class?
Yes, parent or caregiver participation is encouraged. Engaging with your child during class enhances their learning experience and strengthens your bond.
  • Is it ok to take photos and/or videos?
We understand that capturing your little one's joyful moments during class can be special. To maintain a respectful and engaging environment for everyone, we kindly ask that you respect the following guidelines: Limit Photography and Videography: Feel free to take occasional photos or short videos of your own child. However, please try to ensure that other children or adults are not included in your shots. This helps protect everyone's privacy. Be Present: Our classes are designed to be interactive and engaging. We encourage you to participate fully with your child during the session. Excessive use of phones or cameras can be distracting to both you and others. Social Media Sharing: If you wish to share photos or videos on social media, ensure that only your child is visible, or obtain consent from other parents or caregivers whose children appear in the content. We appreciate your cooperation in creating a safe and enjoyable experience for all families.
